Criminalizing Politics is Dangerous
Professor Alan Dershowitz is Brooklyn native who has been called “the nation’s most peripatetic civil liberties lawyer” and one of its “most distinguished defenders of individual rights -” “the best-known criminal lawyer in the world -” “the top lawyer of last resort -” “America’s most public Jewish defender” and “Israel’s single most visible defender – the Jewish state’s lead attorney in the court of public opinion.” He is the Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law (emeritus) at Harvard Law School. Dershowitz – a graduate of Brooklyn College and Yale Law School – joined the Harvard Law School faculty at age 25 after clerking for Judge David Bazelon and Justice Arthur Goldberg and at age 28 became the youngest full professor in the school’s long history. Huge Scientific Gain Seen from Solar Eclipse
Professor Jay Pasachoff is an American astronomer. Pasachoff is Field Memorial Professor of Astronomy at Williams College and the author of textbooks and trade books in astronomy, physics, mathematics, and other sciences. Pasachoff will be viewing his 66th solar eclipse, the most of anyone ever. Pasachoff has carried out extensive scientific work at total solar eclipses, and has championed the continued contemporary scientific value of solar eclipse research. Pasachoff is heading one of the largest organized scientific expeditions to study the Sun, and the Sun’s effects on Earth, at the eclipse August 21, 2017. Their main observations are to study the solar corona, a million times fainter than the everyday Sun and normally hidden behind the blue sky.
